CANopen and DeviceNet PC interface card manufacturers
- AcQ InduCom
- AcQ InduCom in the Netherlands is leading in design, development and
supply of embedded computer hardware and software. We provide a wide range
of standard products according to the M-module, VMEbus, PCI, PMC and
CompactPCI standards and MIL-STD-1553 (STANAG 3838/3910) units. To support
the modular hardware, we have developed a modular software concept, called
APIS (AcQ's Platform Interface Software). Based on APIS a wide range of
operating systems is supported, like Windows XP/NT/98, Dos, VxWorks, QNX,
Linux, SunOS, OS-9. Thanks to APIS, new emerging operating systems can
swiftly be supported, without having to take the specification of your
operating systems and hardware platforms into account. Our products
inconspicuously find their destinations in everyday life. Our products are
for example used for control systems for trams and trains, traffic control
installations, aircraft and simulators, wireless telecommunication networks,
automation systems for the meat producing, and automotive industry. Our
products are sold worldwide through an international network of selected
distributors.

General Information About CANopen
CANopen is a networking system based on the serial bus Controller Area Network (CAN) and the application layer "CAN Application Layer" (CAL).
CANopen permits both cyclic and event-controlled communication. This makes it possible to reduce the bus load to a minimum and achieve high communication performance at relatively low baud rates.
Supported baud rates 125, 250, 500 and 1000 k bits/s. Max distance - 500 meters.
Supporting organization - CAN in Automation
General Information About DeviceNet
DeviceNet is a low-cost communication link that connects industrial devices to a network.
It is based on broadcast-oriented communication protocol - the Controller Area Network (CAN) originating in the automotive industry.
DeviceNet utilizes a powered four-wire network and can have up to 64 nodes. Supported baud rates - 125, 250 and 500 k bits/s. Max distance - 500 meters.
Supporting organization - Open DeviceNet Vendor Association (ODVA)
