General Components class Libary

General Components class Library (GCL) is the general purpose multiplatform C++ class library. It consists of the following main class groups:

• Server Application Framework, implementing generic abstractions for server type software products with such features as access security, client management, pratform independent configuration, event logging, statistics;
• OS API wrapper classes aimed to isolate the platform specific API layer from the core application by delivering consistent interface to such functions as file I/O, thread and process management, inter-process communications;
• TCP/IP protocol related classes;
• General purpose utilities;
• XML parsing classes.

GCL has been developed using best practices of Object-Oriented programming technology.
