Remote Reboot utility usage instructions

Usage

reboot.exe computer [/SHUTDOWN] [/TIMEOUT:timeout] ["/MSG:shutdown message"] [/ABORT]

Options

computer - name of the computer (use \\ in front of the name)
/SHUTDOWN - shut down only
/TIMEOUT - timeout in seconds before reboot or shutdown. During that time operation can be aborted
/MSG: - message to be displayed before reboot or shutdown
/ABORT - aborts previosly initiated shutdown or reboot

Examples

1. Shut down the computer REMWORKS in 1 minute. Ask the user to exit all applications:
reboot.exe \\REMWORKS /SHUTDOWN /TIMEOUT:60 "/MSG:Computer will shut down in 60 sec. Please exit all applications."

2. Abort REMWORKS computer shutdown:
reboot.exe \\REMWORKS /ABORT

Requirements

Your user must have administrator previleges to reboot a remote workstation.
